Las Vegas Links |
Okay so no one would ever do this and perhaps we are shooting ourselves in the foot, but you should know what else is out there. We know we can't cover every possible thing about Las Vegas ourselves unless we write a 10 volume book. Below are links to other websites about Las Vegas. We may or may not provide some hints about them. If you appreciate that we provided this for you, please honor us by coming back; we need you.
vegas.com is where we purchase all of our show tickets. They usually get us really good seats so we appreciate using them.
Anthony Curtis Las Vegas Adviser is a decent site where you can purchase a coupon book. Mr. Curtis has been seen on TV explaining how card counting works. He has been on several shows and is one of the few individuals that will actually respond to requests for information. Because of that, he deserves to be here.
Cheapo Vegas is one of our old time favorites because they crack us up. Their reviews are sort of funny and they try to be honest.
Las Vegas Rater is an example of what we won't do here. The site is fairly nice and they do provide reviews, but they are pretty much tied to their advertisers. Still if you want to get some ideas, you can go here.
VegasSpot.com is a new site designed to help you easily book your vacation. They can help with hotel, shows, nightclubs and more. This new site is run by some young professionals just getting started and they really care to do things right by the customer.
Please take note that most websites offer some discounts on hotel rooms, shows, etc. Be careful, many times it is cheaper to simply call the hotel or the box office for the show. Tickets for Tonight (next on the list) and Vegas.com do get discounted show tickets, but few can get the best hotel rate. Here is an example to prove our point. Main Floor tickets to see Donny & Marie are priced at $134 or more on the main floor from the Flamingo Box Office (Ticketmaster) but if you visit this site: Showtickets.com you can find them for $119. Bottom line: Look around and don't settle.
Tix4tonight.com is found all up and down the strip. You will see long lines of people standing there to buy tickets around 2-4pm for shows and dinners. Make sure the person you are speaking with has the correct shirt on, or you may be pulled out of line by a TimeShare person. We have used this service on occasion, and they have saved us a few bucks.
Las Vegas Travel Nevada is a very nice website with lots of things to do in and around Nevada. You can get your free visitor's guide here.
Showticket.com seems to have their stuff together. We are impressed with their website and their ticket prices seem to be actual discounts.
Vegas Deluxe with Robin Leach is a rival website and uses blogs well.
vegaschatter.com is considered a rival website but they are different from what we offer. Why include them? We like their up to date information. They try to provide at least a few things new each day and they are usually only a few days behind. We give them credit for seeking out news. There are very few places you will find gambling news, and more that is current. Las Vegas' own news station "8 News Now" is horribly out of date and out of touch with gaming news.
A to Z Las Vegas is about as complicated of a website as you will see. They crammed up every letter of the alphabet and more on their site. Talk about information overload. But I give them some credit because they poured so much information and work into this. Sharin' the lovin can't be all bad.
Vegas 4 Locals is a decent site with blog that is geared towards locals of Las Vegas but also has useful information for other visitors.
