Las Vegas Recreational Activities |
This page is all about fun things to do in and around Las Vegas that provide you with the greatest amount of leisure activities not necessarily found in the Thrills page. You don't always have to spend 24 hours a day gambling when there is so much to see and do. Here are some examples. When possible, we will provide our honest reviews and feedback.
This sporting establishment is known as Invert Sports on Lake Mead. They specialize in renting Master Craft boats and prices seem to be in the $1200 range for a full days rental. These are elite boats, so you get the best of the best. For more pricing and rental information visit www.invertsports.com |
Echo Bay Marina on Lake Mead requires a scenic 35 mile drive through the beautiful desert from Lake Mead Blvd. Once you get there you will see RV hookups, boat launch area, boat rental, and boat storage facilities. If you like fishing, this is our recommended location as they have very reasonable prices as low as $100 a day. Please check them out at www.echobaylakemead.com |

Callville Bay Lake Mead offers military discounts. They really fall under the ownership of Forever Resorts. Military discount specials include the following: Active military and veterans of the United States armed forces are eligible to receive a $200 discount off of their houseboat rental and/or a 10% discount off powerboats, personal watercraft and other small boats. Now that is what we are talking about Support the Troops! More information is available at their website www.callvillebay.com |

It is totally up to you but this place is located just outside of the Fremont Street Experience. Cross carefully at the light. They are known for their problematic food such as the 9,000 plus calorie burger. The ladies dress as nurses, so it is sort of a place you have to take a glance at. Pun intended! More information is available at www.heartattackgrill.com |

The Neon Museum was recently shown on TV in a new episode. Here you can walk into the past and see the lights used on buildings back to 1930. It realy is a nostalgic place and worth taking a visit. Their website is www.neonmuseum.org |
The Pinball Hall of Fame Museum is one of my favorites. I used to think I was Tommy. I have "turned over" many machines in my day and have a special affinity for any with targets. An old poker one is my favorite. You can get more information on this at www.pinballmuseum.org |
The National Atomic Testing Museum has been featured on TV on more than one occasion. This is a very unique place in that it shows much of what was used during the Atomic testing days just outside of Las Vegas. For more information please explode on over to www.nationalatomictestingmuseum.org |
Flight Linez is located at the Fremont Street Experience. I keep wanting to try this but the ride doesn't open until 2pm and I keep going too early. You should try this as it is inexpensive. It is far less busy during the day than at night so keep that in mind. More information is available from www.flightlinezfremont.com |

Madam Tussauds is one of our favorite stops in Las Vegas. They keep rotating things around and during the fall they have a haunted area that is well done. If you take the pictures just right your friends may actually believe you really met these superstars. Tickets go for $25.95 each. Military members get in with valid ID for $18.95. You have to appear in person and can't buy these tickets online. Don't worry lines are not usually long. See www.madametussauds.com/LasVegas |
Siegfried and Roy have a Secret Garden located behind the Mirage. This is where the white tigers went. You can also see fabulous dolphins here. The staff interacts constantly with them, so it is a decent attraction to visit. You can get more information at their website www.mirage.com/attractions/secret-garden.aspx |
