There are so many shows in Las Vegas that we thought we would spend our time telling you which ones we have seen and what we thought. Of course, we can't hit all of them and we know what we like. Following our list is a list of our recommended stops for more detailed show information.
Donny & Marie
Our sole reason for coming to Las Vegas has been for my wife to see Donny Osmond. Our trip revolves around first buying our seats, and then scheduling the rest of the trip. Although not originally a fan, these two put on such a great show that they deserve every standing ovation they get and this occurs every night they perform. It is true, we have seen the show 37 times.
Rock of Ages at the Rio
Wow, depending on your age you will likely know every song but maybe not who performed them. This was a first class show. We bought the CD and movie afterwards. We have seen it twice now and will go again. Now appearing at the Rio"
Carrot Top at Luxor
Now this guy is funny but caution if you don't like the "F" word. Most of the audience truly enjoyed it and so did we.
Hypnosis Unleashed - by Kevin Lepine at Binions
Kevin is from Detroit and his Midwestern Hospitality is warming. We really liked this show and we saw his debut performance. As he works out a few kinks in timing and lighting this will be a fan favorite.
Diva's Starring Frank Marino
THis show is high energy and you may believe for a moment that these are the real ladies. If you have any bias toward this don't go, but we were pleasantly surprised at how well they nail those they are imitating.
The Scintas at the Plaza
We really love this show. High Energy, old school Vegas. This group just pours their heart into it and therefore have won ours. A good old fashioned show to see.
Rich Little
A short one hour show, packed with old videos such as Johnny Carson. Rich is a legend and worth seeing, but the show is average at best. If we want to watch TV, we can go home.
Legends at Harrah's
This show has stood the test of time with a long run at the Imperial Palace. It is still one of the best values on the Strip. You never know who will perform, but they are always good. Too bad this run ends soon.
Blue Man Group at Mandalay Bay
The first time was quite confusing. The second time we sat in the first three rows and for some reason it seemed to click. Don't try to put this into a category that you can relate to. It is strange for a reason. When asked our opinion, we use the word bizarre. This show moved from the Venetian in 2012.
V - Ultimate Variety Show at Planet Hollywood
This show has been vastly improved from our older review. We are proud to say this is a really good show that will keep you entertained.
Sexxy at the Westgate
Well this show was late at 10:30pm but it was good. I won't spoil it but the pole, WOW! we are still hot from that one.
Spoofical The Musical
There comes a time when opposites do not agree. My wife hated this show and especially being hit in the eye by a ping pong ball. But I thought it was clever, fun, and especially enjoyed the shot (yes, alcohol). Wife: 5 out of 10, Me: 7 out of 10.
"O" at the Bellagio"
This incredible water show is breathtaking. It will simply invigorate all your senses.
Wayne Newton
Mr. Newton went a long time before coming back to perform. He shows on the screen a lot of history and only does about four songs. Great to see a legend, but the show overall is boring.
Jeff Civillico - Comedy in Action at Flamingo
Have tickets will review soon
Nathan Burton Comedy Magic
This is a good show but we can't give it much more than that. It was better than V however. The magic is good, the comedy is okay as well, and the ladies are very nice. You will have to form your own opinion on this one.
Human Nature Jukebox
Can I say "OH YEAH!". These guys are fantastic! The latest act is called Jukebox and they hit many different songs including - yes Boy Bands and Disco but they do it so well!
Gordie Brown at the Golden Nugget
A good show, he has been at the GN for a while now.
Sin City Comedy & Burlesque at Planet Hollywood
Should we call it as we see it? This sucked! We left early because we couldn't stand it any longer. The comedian was so bad he put the audience down hoping that would make it funnier.
Get Launched Vegas
The concept to work with young people is great. But from a show perspective, we left pretty early. This is not what you come to Vegas for.
Vinnie Favorito: Wingin' it at Hooters Las Vegas
Put your thick skin on because you will get picked on. Politically uncorrect and we laughed so hard it hurt. We will see this again. But you have to take the punishment. Let your guard down and laugh at yourself! Example: He told my wife she didn't look disabled. Wow! we are still laughing.
Jersey Boys - Sorry Canceled!
We were lucky enough to see this show for the 4th time before it ended. You will now have to catch the traveling version. They are worth every penny. What a great Las Vegas run!
One EPIC Night at the Plaza
We took a chance and were pleasantly surprised. Mostly rock hits and some magic. Talent is from The Voice and America's Got Talent. We rated this as better than expected.
Las Vegas Live Comedy Club at The V Theater
This is a good show located in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood at the V Theater. We enjoyed the show and think you will too.
Elton John
This was an incredible show worth every penny. A must see for anyone that wants a really good show.
Lovers and Losers at the Plaza
There is always a small crowd and almost everyone gets to participate in the show. We had fun but didn't win. We will try again very soon.
Rod Stewart at Caesar's Palace
WOW! Can we just say what a fantastic show this was? Great energy from this over 60 performer.
Air Supply at The Orleans
You know the songs. This act comes every once in a while to the Orleans. We loved it!
BAZ Star Crossed Love at Palazzo
This love story turned a bit too dark for us. A mixture of The Great Gadsby, Moulin Rouge, and Romeo & Juliet. Okay so a bit of honesty here. We never liked Shakespeare and never saw the other two plays. Therefore, we just didn't get it. The singing was very good, cast interaction great, but we both gave it a 5 out of 10.
Pin Up at the Stratosphere
This is a tough call for a review: The good: Great performers, good choreography, not lewd. The bad: No nudity, only teasing with Pasties, too much attention called over and over again to Claire Sinclair, and Jazz music the entire show. Overall, some like it, some not so much. Two of us thought eh, we did not.
Laugh Factory at the Tropicana
Because there are new comics all the time, it is hard to say what you will get but remember, comics go through a lot to make it this far so you will likely be pleased. We were.
Mike Hammer at Four Queens
We have to be honest as always. We love this guy. He has a lot of audience participation and he just cracks us up. We try to go at least once a year so it is fresh again. If you are visiting Fremont, see the man in front with discount tickets and go see him.
X Comedy at the Flamingo
We went to this show to see Piff the Magic Dragon from America's Got Talent. Piff was the least funniest of the group which were all good. The show states Adults only but it wasn't that vulgar or anything like that.
Matt Goss at Caesar's Barge
Matt performs on the Barge at Caesar's Palace and has been doing so for a while now but only on Friday and Saturday nights. Do you want to really see just how good he is? Just visit our favorite video
Tournament of Kings
Pazaa! I think that is how it is spelled. I really liked this show. You get to eat by hand with your hands but you have to hurry the festivities begin before you finish your food, so get it down like a Caveman. Then prepare to cheer your color on. Seriously, this is good. Do it once.
Improv at Harrah's
Fresh and new comedy can be very entertaining, but some comedians flop. You are likely to see a few that will not make you laugh. Is it worth seeing one that does? Take your chances here.
Anthony Cools - The Uncensored Hypnotist
We went out of our box to try this show, and although our owner volunteered to go on stage, the entire experience was not as funny as it should have been. Yes, it was dirty. Yes, it was real (for some more than others), but overall it was a disappointment. You can buy a video after the show for $45. We watched the video and there were some highlights, but again, it could have been much better.
Country Superstars
This was easily the worst show we have seen in Las Vegas. Why sugar coat it? We cannot figure out why this show has been going on for so long. The highlight was the backup band. Only Willie Nelson had some strengths. Dolly Parton was like finger nails on a chalkboard prompting us to almost get up and leave. Then came a guy trying to do some resemblance of Garth Brooks. As we were getting up to leave, the show mercifully ended after just one hour. Awful, just awful!
Spirit Of the King - Steve Connolly
What we really like about this version of Elvis is that he is both talented as a performer, musician, and has a great sense of humor to go along with the performance. We really enjoy Steve and think you cannot go wrong seeing this show (currently at the Four Queens Hotel). His guitar playing was suprisingly good. Connolly also interacts with the entire audience making for a great intimate show. His website is located at http://www.spiritoftheking.com
Raiding the Rock Vault
We absolutely loved this show. It is such a shame that it is gone now.
Defending the Caveman
This is a great couples show currently performing at The D on Fremont Street. It is funny and you will be able to relate to what this one man show is talking about.Defending the Caveman
Crazy Girls at Planet Hollywood
Okay, if you are a guy from 21-80 you are going to love the "natural" beauties. Talented, sexy, gorgeous, just wow! But if you are woman, you are going to have to be open minded to this topless show which is a bit on the dirty side. A conservative woman will not like the dirt part, but will appreciate the talent parts and overall show quality. Did I mention what guys would like? Stop drooling and go see it, I am getting my tickets again right now.
The King - Trent Carlini
It was his childs birthday on this night. It was not a good night. He was off, had trouble with his outfit, and it just didn't live up to expectations. A bit of a disappointment. He just moved to the Westgate.
Illusions Jan Rouven at the Tropicana
You are going to have to ignore all the Best in Las Vegas reviews for 2015 crap. This show just plain sucks. The reason? It takes too long to setup each of the acts. It is painful to sit there waiting and while the illusions are good, he just plain bored us. The reason for best magic show is there isn't a whole lot to choose from now. Don't believe what you read!
Brooks and Dunn and Reba McCintrye
Show in Las Vegas do not get much better than this. They come occasionally for residence at Caesar's Palace. Go see them. Incredibly good show!
Mike Hammer - Comedy Magic Show
We have seen him 3 times and he is funny each time. Lots of audience engagement. Look for discounts up front of Four Queens.
Ronn Lucas Show - Puppets
This show came to Suncoast and it was for all ages. We enjoyed it and will give it an 8 out of 10.
Puppet Up! Uncensored
Wow, this show was not good. The way they do animations was fascinating and the lead Patrick Bristow helped, but trouble with the screens, bad improv just ruined it. Good news, it is gone and didn't last long.

Shows we haven't seen and why
Celine Dion - She's great for many, but just haven't seen yet
All other Cirque de Soleil shows (excluding O) - just not into acrobats
Love Beatles - If you aren't into the music, you would be forcing yourself
Criss Angel - Seems to appeal to a younger crowd, but would rather see David Copperfield
Cherry Boom Boom (18+) show at Tropicana. We have this on our list only because we know the lead and she is great!
Band of Magicians - Brand new at Tropicana. Waiting to see whether worth going.
Tommy Wind - Musical Illusionist. It is a 6pm show. He has his own theater. Just haven't gone yet
Comedy Daredevil - Ryan Stock and Amber Lynn. New show at Hooters. Will try to catch soon
Evid Dead, The Musical 4D, Will see soon now at the Tommy Wind Theater
Jerry Seinfeld - Sorry this is a guy we can't stand to listen to
Penn & Teller - Seem pretty gross (I would go...)
Tony & Tina's Wedding - No appeal
Absinthe - Great reviews. Show ending soon. We have to hurry and see it before it is gone.
Dancing with the Stars - Other than Donny & Marie, ballroom dancing is boring
Andrew Dice Clay - I would go, but wife no way
Australian Bee Gees - Wife would go, I hate the Bee Gees
Jabbawockeez - Really - seriously who finds this good?
Purple Reign - Okay wife would maybe see him, I hate the music
Zarkana - Replacement for Elvis at the Aria. A new show, no time to see yet.
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill - Soul to Soul tour at the Venetian. Strict times and limited tickets, but would love to see it
Olivia Newton John - She is fabulous and we would go, she is now performing when Donny & Marie are not in town
Dancing Queen - Abba's Greatest Hits - at New York, New York. This was a good band
David Copperfield - saw him when young, he is an incredible performer
Terry Fator - Just love this guy, hard to get tickets
Shades of Sinatra - I am into rock and roll, but Sinatra is part of Vegas lore
The Mentalist - reviews seem okay, not sure we would like it
Other Shows (one time events)
NHL Awards Show - Totally enjoyable if you like hockey. In 2016 not open to public
The Dan Band - A must see show when they are in town.
Kevin Miller - Total flop. He reads from notes - what comedian is that unpolished? Some parts are funny but on
the whole he sucks
Gary Colombo - Fine artist playing the oldies such as the Rat Pack and more. Honestly, it is for a 55+ crowd. Good crowd interaction but he plays from recorded music so almost like Karaoke.
Wow, you read all the way down here. Nice job. Okay your tickets are best purchased through the Hotel Box Office or try to find better deals at:
Locals: Try this if you are new to Vegas. After you attend the first few shows, it pays for the fee. Then you will find that most shows are the same, But new locals should sign up for a year to be able to attend many shows at an affordable price.
